Some are open during the dry season (November to May), but this may change as the island becomes popular year-round and boat service becomes more regular. During the raininy season, boats usually only go as far as Ao Sapparot, Dan Mai and than Mayom - the surf farther south along the west coast can be impassable during heavy rains.
